There is so much happening at Georgia Highlands College this year, as we begin another academic year.  New beginnings, new directions, new activities.  Read about the official opening of the new Student Center in Cartersville.  Students love it so much it has changed the campus environment.  Share in the smart discussion about the separation of church and state, and just what the words of the First Amendment mean.  Be impressed by the many ways GHC employees contribute to the communities through volunteerism.  Enjoy our newest feature Soapboxes, which gives faculty and staff a platform from which to opine.  Catch up on the latest news on our athletics programs.  And of course, don’t miss the expanded News & Notes section.  It’s full of impressive news about our faculty.  Finally, just for fun, be sure to read the book review by Elijah Scott, director of libraries, on Hunger Games from Suzanne Collins.

We have more comment sections this issue, so please let us know what you think about the various subjects.  Enjoy.

Do you plan to attend a GHC athletic event this year?
